A Reimagined Platform 

Our roots go back to 2004 when a computer-savvy dad and avid gymnast wanted to revolutionize the way small businesses in the youth activity industry used software. It was innovative, refreshing, and something many haven’t seen before. Fast forward to 2023, and Jackrabbit Care realized the transformative impact it could bring to the childcare industry. So the Jackrabbit Care team listened, conducted research and asked for feedback, leading to the launch of the reimagined Jackrabbit Care in May of 2023.

Innovative Mobile App Experience

Communication with parents is essential to the success of a child care center. Prior to releasing a mobile app, other child care management providers were evaluated and two significant gaps were found – Efficient two-way communication and a place for users to manage all of their account details.  

The introduction of two-way messaging within the mobile app offers valuable features: 

• The utilization of message templates where parents can communicate with centers about upcoming delays
• The ability to broadcast messages to multiple families at once
• Photo sharing to keep tabs on what a child is doing at the facility 

The second piece we addressed was allowing users one central location within the mobile app for essential account management details. With the launch of the mobile app, parents can pay their bill, view transaction history, manage allergy information, and keep track of emergency contacts all from the convenience of their mobile phone. 

Online Registration and Waitlist Management Simplified

Historically, online registration and managing waitlists are major concerns for child care providers across the country. In a recent survey of 2,000 mothers published by babycenter, forty percent of families that plan to enroll their children in a child care center are put on a waitlist for up to 6 months. The team at Jackrabbit recognized this problem and was determined to create something unique and different for centers to manage this issue at its core.   

When online registration was released, Jackrabbit wanted it to be a unique feature. We knew there had to be a better way for centers to accurately capture this information all in one location. With the addition of a new online registration feature, Jackrabbit Care empowers centers to proactively convey registration statuses, information requirements, and essential details before a child’s enrollment, ensuring a smooth and informed onboarding process.
Online Registration and waitlist management are very important to address for many child care centers. It requires documentation and sometimes, it’s difficult to accurately visualize this information. As part of the release of Online Registration, the goal was to give child care centers the opportunity to streamline data collection and document management with a centralized solution. The updated Online Registration feature allows centers to efficiently capture family, child, and policy information, providing end users with a one-stop source for seamless information management.

Streamlined Kiosk Settings

Managing the check-in and check-out process is crucial for child care facilities. Jackrabbit Care’s enhanced kiosk settings prioritize student safety with contact-issued PIN codes for parents. As a bonus, parents can easily access it at their convenience with our mobile app!

However, Jackrabbit Care didn’t just stop there. Child care providers also needed a way to visualize the same process for their staff members. Jackrabbit Care’s integrated Kiosk makes an easy-to-use time clock for staff and helps provide a snapshot of who is on the site at any time.
